Sonada Degree College (SDC), Sonada was established in 1985.

This is a fully Government aided, co- education college and recognized by UGC under u/s 12(B) and 2(f).

The college is affiliated to North Bengal University, established in 1962 with a goal to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim.

This is a state university situated near Siliguri in Darjeeling district. The University was established by Act of the Legislature of West Bengal in 1962.
