Soghra College of Teacher Education, Nalgonda was established in 2003.

B.Ed Course of this college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda and D.EI.Ed Course is affiliated to State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Andhra Pradesh and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The college was setup with the objective of providing education for the prospective teachers, socially committed intellectually competent and morally upright teachers of tomorrow.

The college was best known for its best standards of stringent discipline, admirable academic excellence and outstanding extra-co curricular activities.
