Smt. Shakuntala Nargundkar Shikshashastry Mahila Adhyapak Vidyalaya (D. Ed.), Nagpur started its first academic session in 2007 with the aim to impart quality education to the aspirants. The educational institution is affiliated to Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research & Training, Pune (SCERT) and has attained the recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal to conduct two years of Diploma in Education (D. Ed) course in Marathi medium.
