About Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College
Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad was established in 1963 by Mr. Morarji Desai, the then Finance Minister of India at an inaugural function presided over by Dr. Sushila Nayyar, the then Health Minister of India and Mr. Jaykrishna Harivallabhdas, the then Mayor of Ahmedabad, with capacity of 75 annual admissions, later increased to 150 from 2000.
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was only the second Municipal Corporation next to Mumbai to establish a medical college of its own.
