Smt. Mathubai Garware Kanya Mahavidyalaya (SMGKM), Sangli was established in 1972.

Its run by Women's Education Society.

The institute has been affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and accredited by NAAC with ‘B’ grade.

The main aim of the institute is to help the student realize and understand their abilities and responsibilities and  have an unshaken faith in the Humanity and to widen the horizons which would open the fresh avenues.
