Smt. J. J. Kundalia Commerce College, Rajkot was established in 1969 by Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust and Accredited by NAAC with a sole intent to serve society through culture, education and human service. The trust is of the founding father of Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust, Rajkot, was a symbol of social service through education and youth development. The college offers UG courses B.Com., B.B.A., B.C.A. and PG Courses P.G.D.C.A., D.C.S.. The college is focused their eyes on imparting quality education to the generation next. The college is managed by visionary and dynamic trustees who always try to keep the institution in pace with the global trends. The institution has devoted and competent faculty to run all the courses smoothly. The administrative staff fully supports the system. Enough resources are available to the institution to meet any challenges. The intuition, possessing all the ultramodern learning facilities is located at a prime location nearby the railway station and the bus station.

The College was established with a generous donation from Smt. Jaswantiben Jayantilal Kundalia. Smt. J.J. Kundalia Commerce College was separately established in 1973 as a single faculty part with vernacular medium from the mother institute Smt. J.J. Kundalia Arts and Commerce College.

The College acquired the grant-in-aid status as per sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the U.G.C. Act in 1976.

VISION & MISSION

Shri Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust has been established by visionaries like Late Mr. Rameshbhai Chhaya (Ex and the first Mayor of Rajkot). Late Mr. Labhubhai Trivedi (Ex. Pro–Vice Chancellor, Saurashtra University) and Mr. Mansukhbhai Joshi (Ex. Labour Minister, Gujarat State).

They wished to create an organization which is committed to the cause of empowerment of urban as well as rural youth through access to education, enabling them to develop as intellectually alive socially responsible citizens ever ready for continuous personal and professional growth. The mission of the trust is to cultivate social, moral and spiritual values among human beings. Further the trust is committed to provide a wide range of educational programmes from KG to PG level. To meet the changing needs trust offers some professional courses besides conventional ones. Keeping in mind, the future demand of professionals in the field of engineering and technology, the trust has already started working in this direction. Late Shri Labhubhai Trivedi College of Engineering and Technology at Kankot is under construction and expected to function from the academic year 2007-08.
