Smt. A.P. Patel Arts & Late Shree N.P. Patel Commerce College, Ahmedabad was established in 1993 under the management of Shri Naroda Kelawani Mandal, Naroda, Ahmedabad.
It is one of the premiers & first ever college in the city's eastern part of the Gujarat state to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956. It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade on 31st March 2007.
As per Gujarat University, Ahmedabad notification since 2011, the institution has been offering, the following UG and PG programs in Arts and Commerce faculties under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).
The college also runs various Computer courses of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad and Spoken English classes of Scope (Govt. Initiative) because of affiliation with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad, and Cambridge ESOL University respectively.

- The college has well-equipped with modern facilities like library, laboratory, classrooms, computer lab, canteen, seminar halls, multipurpose halls, playground & gymnasium etc.
- A sufficient number of classrooms with varying sizes are made available for the smooth conduct of different classes in the college
- The college has a library with a good number of books (both text and reference) on various subjects to meet the needs of the students as well as the teachers with reading room facility. Daily Newspapers and selected journals are also regularly subscribed
- State of the Art Laboratories with sufficient space and all the necessary equipment are made available to various departments
- The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
- Internet facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
- The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
