One of the oldest management institutes in Karnataka managed under Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, St. Joseph's Institute of Management (formerly known as St. Joseph’s College of Business Administration) was established in 1968.

It is a private school of business situated in the heart of metropolitan Bengaluru and imparting higher education in the field of postgraduate management programmes.

It was recognised and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute has grown steadily and today has more than 11000+ students enrolled at the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer and Management disciplines.

The name of the institute was changed to St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) in October 2016 with due approval from AICTE. The institute was shifted to an independent new campus with the state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of the city at Webb's ground, M.G. Road, Bengaluru.

SJIM seeks to be a sanctum where the search for knowledge is coupled with a sense of responsibility for the life of the community, and understanding is coupled with commitment and academic excellence goes with the cultivation of virtue and a learned community.

At present, the institute offers full-time PGDM, E-PGDM, and PGCM programmes. In August 2007, SJIM secured approval from the AICTE for offering the Executive PGDM and PGCM programmes.

Admissions here are conducted through both online and offline modes by the admission committee for conducting admission in various management courses. Based on secured marks from all the applicants, the merit list is created and the reservation is fixed accordingly by the institute.

Applicants with the bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised university are considered eligible to get admission in any postgraduate programmes.
