Sitananda College (SC), Purba Medinipur was established in 1960.

The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University.

The motto of this institution is “WIDENING THE HORIZONS”. As an institution of higher education, feel that their task is to make the pupils move towards an ever-increasing sphere of knowledge.
