Siliguri B.Ed College (SBEC), Darjeeling was established in 1989.

It is affiliated to the North Bengal University and approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and also recognized by the UGC under 2 (f) and 12 (B), Vide UGC memo no. F.8-45/98 (cpp-1), August 1998.

The College is co-educational and at present has a capacity of 100.

The college began as a modest tin- roofed building and at present possesses an efficient infrastructure which includes spacious and well lit classrooms, Science laboratories, language lab and others.

The college is associated with well-qualified and experienced lecturers to help the students in accomplishing their aim.

The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.
