Shriram Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT), Kashipur established in 2004, is a unit of the Social Welfare and Eduction Society, Kashipur. It is affiliated to Kumaun University, Nainital and approved by AICTE and Affiliated to Uttrakhand Technical University(UTU), approved by Govt. of Uttarakhand. The institute is dedicated to provide quality education at graduate and post graduate level. The Institute is on its own permanent premises since inception.

Shriram Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT) A UNIT OF THE SOCIAL WELFARE AND EDUCATION SOCIETY, KASHIPUR. From many years, the young generation of this region was facing problem to get higher education in professional courses. Seeing this, the society decided to setup this institute at Kashipur. To explore education at higher levels, Shriram Institute of Management & Technology PG College (SIMT-PG) was established in July 2009. The institute is dedicated to provide quality education at graduate and post graduate level.

The institute is established on dated July 01, 2004. The Institute is on its own permanent premises since inception. SIMT is affiliated to Kumaun University, Nainital. SIMT-PG approved by AICTE and Affiliated to Uttrakhand Technical University(UTU), approved by Govt. of Uttarakhand and B.Ed. course is recognized by NCTE (vide letter no F.NRC/NCTE/F-3/UR-198/10212 dated November 08, 2004) & Accredited 'B' (Good) (Edu) by NAAC. The institute is currently running MBA, BBA, BCom (Honours), BCA and B.Ed courses. Now, SIMT is going to start two new courses BBA (Hotel Administration) and BBA (Hospital Administration).

The institute has been setup with a vision by Mr. Ravindra Kumar, President & MD of SIMT. He is BE(IIT Roorkee), GMIIIE, FIE, LMIIM and Ex Joint director of SAIL.

The vice president of college is Mr. Brijesh Kumar. He is also chairman of Templeton College, Kashipur, affiliated to CBSE, one of the leading school in this region.

The Institute is spread over 23000 sq.m. (6 Acres) land in pollution free lush green environment with eye catching hill view. The campus is full of beautiful lawns and landscape and has gorgeous building. The Institute has a large library, state of art ComputerCentre, core faculty and desirable infrastructure. The Institute also provides transport facility from Ramnagar, Kashipur, Bazpur, Thakurdwara and Jaspur at reasonable charges.

SIMT is located in the picturesque foothills of Kumaun/Nainital region. It is located at 7 km stone on Kashipur-Ramnagar Road. Kashipur, an ancient city itself, (Map) is only 80 km from Nainital, 180 km from Haridwar, 230 km from Delhi. It is 32 km from Bazpur, 23 km from Jaspur, 20 km from Thakurdwara, 20 km from Ramnagar and 58 km from Moradabad.

Kashipur is well connected by train with Moradabad, Bazpur, Haldwani, Delhi and other stations. By road Kashipur is well connected by National Highways. Both private and Uttarakhand transport buses run from all important places.

VISION

One of the objectives of the Society, running the Institute, was to start establish, run, take over or manage and maintain schools, colleges, study centers and other Institutions with an object to provide sound pre primary, primary, middle secondary, senior secondary and higher education to children/students by seeking recognition. The objective later served the purpose of the Institute. Consequently the Institute was established with a vision "The Institute believes that access to all types of education, specially higher education, is a fundamental right of all children regardless of religion, race, gender, colour or socio-economic status and, therefore, the Institute shall serve their needs by providing UG and PG degree programs particularly in professional streams that offer the opportunity to students who have the desire, interest and motivation to succeed in their life."

MISSION

The mission of the Institute is "To provide and promote UG and PG level quality professional education in the areas of Management, Computer Science, and Teaching Methods etc.

from the base level for new generation and to develop the knowledge and skills that will enable them to achieve their professional goals. To impart future oriented technical education and to produce technologically superior, morally strong, smart and disciplined professionals. The values, besides imparting professional competence to the students as enshrined in our operational curriculum, are punctuality, sincerity devotion to duty and freedom from vices like intoxicants etc. explicitly practiced in the Institute as a part of hidden curriculum.
