Shrimati Narsamma Hirayya Shaikshanik Trust Arts, Commerce & Science College, Amravati was established on 4th August 1995 and managed by Shrimati Narsamma Hirayya Shaikshanik Trust (R), which was established in 1963.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 15th November 2010 under Act, 1956.

The aim of the college is to bring to this economically underdeveloped region, contemporarily relevant and modern courses and subjects.

It is a co-educational private Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Amravati played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

In the year 1995, the college began its U.G. classes with 165 students with 3 courses in a small rented building. Nearly two decades after, the college has over 600 students, 5 courses and 22946 square feet of buildings spread over 10.25 acres of sprawling campus.

Later the college started Environmental Science, Industrial Chemistry and Industrial Microbiology subjects were introduced to the Amravati University region exclusively.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the admission criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts and Science streams with various specializations and two years of postgraduate courses in Science streams with various specializations under Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati.

Students should have to choose one honor (core) subject with two or more as subsidiary (elective) subjects for the specific undergraduate streams.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
