Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Govt. Model Science College, Gwalior was established in 1961 is a premier institute of science teaching and research.

It was known as Victoria College, which bifurcated into two centers of education a science college and an arts & commerce college.

The college is recognized by UGC and is a government-funded institution.

The college is affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior; the college is now offering instruction in UG & PG programs in different science disciplines.
