Shri Rawatpura Sarkar College of Science & Education (SRCSE), Durg was established in 2003 with the primary motive to nurture and facilitate students to discover the realms and pleasures of learning by building a progressive educational environment.

The college managed under “Shri Rawatpur Sarkar Lok Kalyan Trust” is affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) from the year 2003-04.

Apart from this college, there are two colleges of the group at kumhari (Durg) Mother Teresa College of Nursing (MTCN), Sri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Pharmacy (SRIP), Shri Rawatpura Sarkar College of Science and Education (SRCSE). These colleges are approved and recognized by respective governing bodies and affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur & Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai.

The Institute is committed to helping prospective teachers use their knowledge of students, curriculum, and the clarity of teaching and learning methods for the benefit of each and every student. It aims to develop teachers who can lay the foundation of an educated society.

The institute offers one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

It also offers two years D.Ed course recognized by Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. It aims at educating more and more people of rural socially economically backwards and to those who have craving for education but can’t manage to go far in distant big cities.

Various teaching and learning techniques are being used by the faculty to impart knowledge and skills to students at Shri Rawatpura Sarkar College of Science & Education (SRCSE), Durg in its various departments.
