Sri Ranibhapuri Jagadguru Veeragangadhar Arts & Commerce College, Shiggaon (Dist. Haveri) was established on 22nd July 1985 by Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya Grameena Vidya Peetha, Shiggaon.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
 
It is affiliated with Karnatak University, Dharwad and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 6th December 2004 & 12(B) on 5th May 2008 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.46 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 17th March 2016.

The college was started in the memory of His Holiness Late Sri Rambhapuri Jagadguru Prasanna Renuka Veeragangadhara Shivacharya Mahaswamiji who brought about a religious revolution in the area and worked ceaselessly for the uplift of humanity.

College is an ideal institution in the whole of shiggaon imparting degree education. This college is Shiggaon’s pride stepped into this July an academic year for the all-round development of Shiggaon citizens taken a bold step to continue its tradition of democratic principles.

The college offered subjects like - Arts faculty - Languages Kannada, Hindi, English, and other optional specializations are Political Science, History, Geography, Economics, English, Hindi and Kannada made up of 6 groups. For Commerce faculty Languages, Optional and Compulsory subjects prescribed by the University.

At present, the college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts & Commerce streams with various optional specializations under Karnatak University, Dharwad.
