Shri I.J. Patel B.Ed. College, Anand was established in 2000 and running under the sponsorship of Charotar Education Society, which was formed in 1916.
The college is affiliated to Sardar Patel University, Anand and recognized National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.72 on a 4 Point Scale) in 2010.
The college got the proud distinction of being the first self-financed college of Gujarat state. The main objective of the college is to providing high-quality education to the downtrodden and rural students of the region, the college offers all the modern facilities on its campus.
The institute offers one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.
Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
