Shri. H.S. Shah College of Commerce, Modasa was established in 1968 as a joint faculty of Shri S.K.Shah & Shri Krishna Om Arts College under the dynamic leadership of Dr.D.P.Thakar veteran and versatile personality and a critic of Guajarati literature and chief editor of Guajarati vishwakosh.

In 1974, bifurcated from Arts College and got permanent affiliation as a single faculty college from Gujarat University.

The college was included under 2(f) of the UGC Act in 1975 and receiving the UGC grant.

The affiliation transferred to new university.

The college accredited by NAAC in 2007.

To mold the youth of this semi-rural area to cope up with the changing global economy and make them competent in the field of banking, commerce and industry to be capable of self-reliant, self-disciplined and adventurous and thereby accelerate the nation building process of our developing economy.
