Shri Govind Guru Government College, Banswara was established in 1950.

It is the biggest co-education college of nearly 4000 students in the southern tribal region of Rajasthan.

The college has been successfully imparting knowledge to the learners with well qualified and experienced teachers in all the three faculties. Teachers update their knowledge and keep pace with the modern developments in their subjects.

Teachers have been recruited by RPSC. Students are admitted in various UG and PG programmes on the basis of the merit and criterion laid down by Commissioner, College Education, Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Faculty members have been actively participating in organizing and conducting various activities through various committees of the college thereby discharging the duties assigned to them.

More than 20 teachers have participated in National conference and International conference.
