About Shree V.M. Sakariya Mahila Arts College
Shree V.M. (Vinodbhai Mohanbhai) Sakariya Mahila Arts College, Botad was established on 15th June 1994 under the management of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel Educational & Charitable Trust in Botad city.
It is one of the premier institutions started with a view to providing higher education to girl's students up to graduate level in the Arts Faculty.
The college is affiliated to M.K. Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 24th February 2006 & 12(B) 16th October 2007 under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.50 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 14th June 2009.
The college had very few students in its inception time. The first batch was started with nearly 20 students. Now a day, the college has moved towards more number of students. Approximately 650 – 700 students enrolled every year.
The college offers B.A. & B.Com (self-finance) in Accountancy & Auditing courses to its stakeholders. It is one of the most successive colleges in M.K. Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar.
The college has achieved many landmarks in the curricular and extracurricular activities during the span of 20 years and the college conducts a number of extracurricular activities organized in the college to bring out hidden potentials of students.

- The vision of the college aims to provide cast, creed and religiously free educational environment to the stakeholders from Botad and nearby villages
- The college has a dream of creating a fearless society which should be free from the narrow domestic walls
- The college also committed to the self-reliant and overall development of girls students

- The college has an attractive, campus situated in secured and serene atmosphere suitable for learning
- The college has separate individual departments for all subjects with young, dynamic faculty and non-teaching staff and with good results
- The college has the most eminent Faculty members and they are really well qualified, experienced and truly committed towards enhancement and development of the students
- The institution is working with a shining sun, the spectrum which is radiating in all possible directions
- The college has well-equipped with modern facilities like library, laboratory, classrooms, computer lab, canteen, seminar halls, multipurpose halls & playground etc.
- A sufficient number of classrooms with varying sizes are made available for the smooth conduct of different classes in the college
- The college has a library with a good number of books (both text and reference) on various subjects to meet the needs of the students as well as the teachers with reading room facility. Daily Newspapers and selected journals are also regularly subscribed
- State of the Art Laboratories with sufficient space and all the necessary equipment are made available to various departments
- The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 1st July 2009 to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
- Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
- The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The institute provides the training facility like- face to face interview, resume making, communication skills, that help the students to face the campus recruitment
- For every course, the college imparts practical training to its students that helps them to understand better, improve their demonstrative skills, eliminate hesitation and in this process strives to mold them into industry ready professionals
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
