Shree V.M. (Vinodbhai Mohanbhai) Sakariya Mahila Arts College, Bhavnagar was established on 15th June 1994 under the management of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Educational & Charitable Trust) in Botad city.

It is one of the premier institutions, started with a view to providing higher education to girls’ students up to graduate level in the Arts Faculty.  They are offering B.A. Program to stakeholders.

The college is affiliated to M.K. Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar and it is Grant-in-Aid. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 24th February 2006 & 12(B) on 16th October 2007 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.50 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 14th June 2009.

The college had very few students in its inception time. The first batch was started with nearly 20 students. Now a day, the college has moved towards more number of students. Approximately 650 – 700 students enrolled every year.

The college has achieved many landmarks in the curricular and extracurricular activities during the span of 20 years.

There are numbers of extracurricular activities organized in the college to bring out hidden potentials of students. We have maintained our academic results on average 85% to 90% at university examinations.

At this college, the students got ranks at the university level. They remain at the top in the various sports and cultural events. They have taken utmost care to provide basic facilities to our stakeholders like safe drinking water, canteen, health centre, toilets, common room, etc.

The college is trying to more comfort with the modern concept of pedagogy and the entire higher education scenario. These are the way by which they are touching the vision and mission.

The college offers three years undergraduate course in Arts stream under M.K.
