Shree Shree Laxmi Narayan Govt. Pench Valley P.G. College, Parasia (Dist. Chhindwara) was established on 1st July 1965 and managed by Laxmi Narayan Trust (R).

It is one of the premier college established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur in July 2015 formerly affiliated with Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The aim of the college was to provide quality education to the wards of coal mines workers and other rural and backward localities of this area also provide higher education to the poor and needy students of this area who come from even 20 K.M. vicinity.

It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Sagar played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The College was originally started to cater the children of mine workers, by then Janpad Panchayat in a local school building.

Initially, it was a graduate college only. Post Graduate courses in, Hindi, political Science-History, Economics-Commerce & Chemistry were started in 1969, 1970, 1971 & 1986 respectively.

Pench valley Educational Association Parasia from 1st July 1965 - 16th October 198. The present college building was erected by Shree Shree Laxmi Narayan trust, after which the college was renamed.

The college was taken over by the govt. of M. P. on 17th October 1981. It was given the status of Post Graduate College on 23rd July 1997. The present college which is known as three Shree Laxmi Narayan Govt. Pench Valley P.G. College, Parasia

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations and two years of a postgraduate course in Arts, Science, and, Commerce with various specializations under Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

Admissions here also done through Govt. of M.P. online portal by the Department of Higher Education M.P. and hence gives a transparent and fair method of admission.
