Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Institute Of Technology, also known as SMKFIT is located in Thaiyur village near Kelambakkam on Old Mahabalipuram Road (IT Highway) 35 km from Chennai, is spread over a sprawling area of 25 acres. Established in 2001, it is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college imparts courses in various branches of engineering at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels as per the guidelines of AICTE.
