Shree M.P. Shah Municipal College of Commerce, Jamnagar was established in 1961 Managed and run by Shree Vidyottejak Mandal, Jamnagar.

The College is affiliated to Saurastra University, Rajkot and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India.

Shree M.P. Shah Municipal College of Commerce is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangalore.

To fulfill the educational needs of the students, the commerce college imparts undergraduate (B.Com) and postgraduate (M.Com) degree level programs.

Apart from these courses, the college also offers diploma level course in the field of computer science.

Shree M.P. Shah Municipal College of Commerce consists of ample state-of-the-art facilities within their campus.

The corner stone of the building was laid by Shri Morarjeebhai Desai, the then Union Finance Minister and the building was declared open by Shri Jivrajbhai Mehta,the then Chief Minister of Gujarat.

The Jamnagar Municipality also helped financially towards the construction of the building.
