Shree Jayendrapuri Arts and Science College, Bharuch was established on 20th June 1955 under the management of S’ad Vidya Mandal, Bharuch.

It is one of the oldest Grant-in-Aid College in the Bharuch district lying in the Southern part of Gujarat. The institution was established by H. H Swami Atulanandji Maharaj and it aims at providing affordable quality education to the students of Bharuch district.

The college is affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 5th May 1977 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.81 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 17th March 2016.

It had a humble beginning with a limited number of classrooms and only two courses offered in the Arts discipline in the older part of Bharuch city. It was by the efforts of Swamiji that a philanthropist donated a huge piece of land and the Institution was shifted to its present venue in 1957.

The college offers undergraduate & postgraduate level courses in Arts & Science stream under Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. It also some Add-on courses.
