Shree Guru Sudhindra Degree College, Bhatkal was established in 1997 under PU College, Bhatkal Education Trust, Bhatkal by Shree Guru Sudhindra Degree College, Bhatkal, commenced with the divine blessings of H.H.
Shrimad Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji of Shree Samsthan Kashi Muth, affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad.
It imparts graduate level studies in Arts, Science and Commerce.
The college has been recognized as one of the premier educational institutions of the region. It is also an “un-aided” self financing institution and serves without any financial support from government.
Efforts are being made to obtain registration for grants announced by University Grant Commission.
