Shree B.P. Brahmbhatt Arts & M.H.Guru Commerce College, Unjha was established on 15th June 1965 under the management of Unjha Education Board, Unjha.

It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The college attained the status of Deficit Grant-in-Aid status and re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.75 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) in the year 2013-14.

The institution laid the foundation of higher education in 1965 in this semi-rural area of North Gujarat with a view to providing higher education to all the sections of society irrespective of class, creed, and religion.

Initially, there were only 110 students in 1965-66 but gradually the institute saw an increase in the number of students and in the year 2006-07, the number of students reached up to 1885.

Economically backward and underprivileged classes also got an easy access to higher education. The impact of the education is seen in all walks of life, particularly, economic, social and cultural.

It has created healthy, social and better economic environment across the society. The spread of education has drastically narrowed the disparity between the two genders male and female. The entire set up of the society has been revolutionalized by the spread of education.

The college offers three years undergraduate degree courses & two years postgraduate courses in Arts & Commerce stream under Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan.

There is a centre of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU), Ahmedabad in the college, where 37 courses are offered in Distant mode and also offers a number of Computer courses at the Computer Centre.
