About Shramdham Arts and Commerce College Kymore
Shramdham Arts and Commerce College Kymore (Dist. Katni) was established on 31st July 1974 by Ex M.L.A. Social worker prominent labor leader Late Shri R.K.Sharma and managed by Shramdham Sewa Sansthan.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur in 1995 and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) in 1997 & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is also recognized & approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi to offer B.Ed. course.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (in 1st Cycle) in 2007.
The aim of the college was to fulfill the need of higher education to the dependents of workers and agricultural labors who reside in nearby villages also guided towards achieving excellence not only in studies but towards career building according to the need of the time.
It is a co-educational private Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Katni played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government
The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Commerce, and Science streams with various specializations under Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur.
The college also offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.
Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

- The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
- The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
