Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Faculty of Agriculture (SKUAST), Kashmir was established in 1982.
The main long term goals of the University research system are to foster research aimed at conceptual advances in all disciplines for technology development and develop suitable end-use technologies, using modern agricultural science.
The aim of the university is to establish state-of-the art infrastructure including well equipped laboratories, farmlands and an efficient operational research management system and attract qualified and talented personnel for undertaking research in the University.
