Shadan Institute of Computer Studies for Girls (SICS), Hyderabad was established in 1991 for girls.

Shadan Institute of Computer Studies was established during the year 1991 for Girls. The college offers a three-year Masters in Computer Application - MCA course and two-year Masters in Business Administration - MBA course with intake 60 students as approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is affiliated to the Osmania University and permitted by the State Government.

This course is highly practical oriented and the students are given sufficient pogramming time in the laboratory to make them full fledged programmers. In addition to the course curriculum, the students are provided with additional courses and projects.

The College has successfully given out students with university ranks with a number of distinctions and first classes. Most of the students are well placed in the industry as well as the top universities for research programs also. The students are also pursuing their higher education in Universities abroad.

The Institute needs an global identity and an image. To establish its identify, focusing on objectives and working out priorities become necessary. Given the strength of the existing infrastructure, stability of the Post-Graduate Programme and other supports, a plan of action for the next five years or so will help to look at the changing scenarios adequately and to take advantage of them. * Faculty Development and infrastructure expansion plan.

* Plans for expansion of exisitng programme as well as other software development Programme, research and consultancy activites.

* Resource raising plan : consultancy including Institutional services to Industry, Business and Development Organizations.

* A long-term plan or a perspective plan for the Institute.

To initiate the above, quality improvement of the Programme through Processes of consensus and sharing has been initiated.

It has been considered that the Payoffs from such as exercise may be long-lasting and might build up greater faculty and other resources to plan other activities.
