Shadan College of Education, Hyderabad was established in 1988 by the Shadan Educational Society. It is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The College is permitted by the Govt. of A.P. through G.O. Ms. No. 455 dated 22-10-1988, during the academic year 1988-89 with an intake capacity of 160 candidates for the B.Ed. Course.

Osmania University, Hyderabad has permitted this B.Ed. College to be run through its letter 797/11/1236/88/Acad dated 9-3-1988. The Subject wise intake percentage is Maths 25%, Physical Science 10%, Bio-Science 20%, Social Studies 35% & English 10%.

This College of Education is recognised as Muslim Minority Educational Institution by the Director of School Education, Hyderabad through its Letter No. Rc No. 2257/N2-2/90 dated 27-12-90. The B.Ed. College is being run with necessary infrastructure such as spacious lecture halls, well established library-cum-reading room, Eight labs and highly qualified Principal & Staff who have been managing the institution successfully by providing 97% of passes on an average since its inception.

The college does not collect any capitation fee or donation while making admissions to the B.Ed course. The Prescribed tuition fees and Special fee is collected from the candidates in the form of demand drafts only.

For the academic year 2015-2016 the annual intake sanctioned is Two basic units of Fifty students each. Vide Letter No. F. No/SRC/NCTE/AOSOO420/B.Ed/AP/2015-2016/65556 dated 26-05-2015.

Merits of Shadan College of Education:

• The college conducts Half yearly & Pre-final examinations to the students on the lines of Public Examination to give adequate practice in answering the examination question
• We conduct debates, Essay writing competition, quiz, elocutions & other competition for all-round development of the candidates. We also conduct Cultural activities, college annual day, Teacher’s day etc.
•  The students are taken for Educational tour once in every academic year for one day.
