Sevadal Womens College, Nagpur was established in 1992 managed under Sevadal Education Society with only one faculty Science Faculty.

Subsequently in 1994 Home Science Faculty and in 1998 Arts faculty was launched.

The Post-Graduate Courses in Environment Science and Zoology were started from the Academic Session 2001-2002.

Similarly, Post-Graduate Course in Chemistry was launched from the Academic Session 2007-2008. Recent establishment of the college is Research Academy.

The Research Academy is a thriving and expanding centre of research in Zoology and Environment Science.

Academy aims to provide a platform for the research work under Ph.D Programme and to expand the potential for collaborative lonkage within and beyond the Rashtrsant TukdojiMaharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.
