Seth Phool Chand Bagla PG College, Hathras was established in 1917 as a middle school and developed into a degree college on July 1958 and got their recognition of degree classes and later on in 1964 for post-graduate classes from Dr. B. Seth Phool Chand Bagla (P.G.) College is a living memorial landmark of this area representing the spirit of selfless public service, courage and charity of the Bagla family of the city, Hathras. It took its birth as a middle school on 14th January, 1917 and developed into a degree college on July 1958 and got its recognition of degree classes and later on in 1964, for post-graduate classes from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra (formerly Agra University, Agra) B.Ed. classes from 1993-94 and B.Sc. classes (Maths and Bio group both) from 1996-97 are being managed under self-financing scheme gracefully. At present this college is running Arts, Commerce, Science and Education faculties. Research facilities are provided in English, Hindi Sanskrit, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology and Commerce subjects under the supervision of qualified and experienced teaching staff. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Study Center has been started since 21 November, 2005.

It runs academic and professional courses round the year. The college has a reputed library containing more than seventy thousand books having National and International journals for research and awareness of the subject. The library possesses a large number of rare books and foreign books which are the asset to the field of high learning.
