Sengunthar Arts and Science College (SASC), Namakkal was established in 1991 by Sengunthar Education Trust. It is a pioneer, self-financing, co-educational Institution.

Sengunthar Arts and Science College, popularly known as SASC, was founded in 1991 by Sengunthar Education Trust. It is a pioneer, self-financing, co-educational Institution, situated in serene green surroundings at Tiruchengode. It was formerly affiliated to the University of Madras and now to Periyar University, Salem. The Institution spreads over 22.5 acres of land with 2,20,000 asq.ft of build in area.

The college offers 14 UG Course, 9 PG Courses and 3 Research Programmes. It is pioneer institution to offer M.B.A and M.C.A. degree course in the entire Namakkal District. All the PG Departments are housed in a separate block with modern laboratory facilities. Department wise A/c Conference halls are established to cater the academic needs of aspirants.

The college won Best College award 2 times for its academic proficiency and unparalleled discipline by Namakkal district consumer forum in the year 2003 and 2004.

As a crown to the glory of SASC, the students bagged 55 Gold Medals and 404 Univeristy Ranks form the inception of the Institution.

The M.B.A Department of our Institution was awarded "A Grade for Best B-School" by Business India Survey in 2007 and 2008.

Unique among all affiliated colleges of Periyar University, Sengunthar Arts and Science College is having a separte, spacious library with good collection of Books and Magazines and Journals of National and International repute. APlacement and Training block is separately housed and functioning well under a placement director.
