Seshadripuram Evening Degree College (SEDC), Bengaluru Urban was established in 1971 under the management of Seshadripuram Educational Trust which was established in 1930.

It is one of the constituent Colleges of the Bangalore University, Bengaluru. In the beginning, the college catered basically to the needs of those who were in employment but who had a desire to enhance their educational qualifications and achieve higher standards of learning.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
 
It is affiliated to Bangalore University, Bengaluru and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.13 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 24th September 2014.

Seshadripuram Evening Degree College embodied the spirit of social responsibility and cultural awareness reflecting the aspirations of the students.

Seshadripuram Evening Degree College offers only B.Com at the undergraduate level as per the Bangalore University, Bengaluru curriculum with the aim of imparting the best academic education to our students.
