Science College, Kokrajhar was established in 1995, received recognization of UGC and Education department Govt. of Assam, Dispur. Science College, Kokrajhar came into existence with the active co-operation and selfless dedication of the people of Kokrajhar town.

The College was started at the temporary venue, Rashtrabhasa Vidyapith School, Kokrajhar. On 26th July 1996, Mr. Rajendra Kumar Mushahary, the then state minister WPT and B.C., Assam laid the foundation stone of the existing college building.
