Saiva Bhanu Kshtrsiya (SBK) College, Aruppukottai was established in 1970.

The college is accredited with B++ grade by NACC since 1970-71.

Aruppukottai Nadargal Uravinmurai Pothu Abiviruthi trust has been serving the cause of education since 1889.

At first the college was established to provide education for the local girls who want to seek higher education, but later it felt necessary to introduce co-education from 1986-1987, thus completing the dreams of the founders. S.B.K. stands for Universal Brotherhood, Wisdom and Value.

It is their prime endeavor to instill this virtue into the minds of our younger generation.

Their task is smoothly done when the young scholars prove themselves worthy citizens of India.
