Saveetha College of Nursing, Chennai was started in 1992 with an intake of 50 B.Sc students.

The nursing college is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and also by the TamilNadu & Midwives Council. M.Sc was started from the year 1995 with an intake of 16 students and is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and also by the Tamilnadu & Midwives Council.
