Satish Public College of Education, Rewari was established on 19th July 1969. It was established in the loving memory of Late Sh. Kalyan Dass Jain who was the younger son of Late Sh. Kalyan Dass Jain of Haily Mandi (Dist. Gurgaon).

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is situated on the Delhi Road, Rewari near Kishan Lal Public College and R.D.S. Girls Public College. It is easily accessible by the road and rail. The distance from the main bus stand and railway station is one and three km's respectively.

The college was first affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh then Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and at present, the college is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) in July 1969 under Act, 1956.

It is a Govt. Aided college and recognized by the Haryana Govt. and also recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur to offer B.Ed. courses.

It was re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.77 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 17th March 2016.

Seth Kalyan Dass Jain donated the prime money to the Public Education Board, Rewari (a registered society) to establish the college of Education in the name of his younger son Sh. Satish Chand Jain.

The Society of the college with the support of its local public raised matching fund for the Satish Public College of Education, Rewari to start B.Ed. regular course.

The Public Education Board at present composed of 2000 life members and run by the twenty-one member elected Governing Body including Govt. representative, University representative, Teacher representatives and Non-teaching representative.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level.

But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
