Sarojini Naidu Vanita Mahavidyalaya, Hyderabad was established in 1962 by Osmania Graduates Association. It is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad and accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade.

Sarojini Naidu Vanita Mahavidyalaya is a premier educational institution in the state of Telangana. It is one among the five leading colleges in the southern states of India.

It has evolved since then, from a tiny tutorial college (known as U.W.C.A college in 1957) with a strength of 4000.

Named after the great freedom fighter “Sarojini Naidu” and the foundation stone of the college building laid by yet another stalwart freedom fighter “Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan” must signify something – YES, a fierce dedication to the “SPIRIT OF INDEPENDENCE!”.

The institution offers all the conventional courses at undergraduate level in Arts, Science and Commerce. To cater to the growing urge of higher education for women in the conservative sections of the Society, Sarojini Naidu Vanita Mahavidyalaya has introduced, several self financed courses in B.Sc with Microbiology and Computers and B.Com Computers at the U.G level. Post Graduate Degree Courses in Commerce(M.Com), English Literature(M.A), M.B.A, M.Sc in Botany with Applied Botany Tissue Culture as specialization, M.Sc(Zoology) with sericulture as specialization M.Sc(Chemistry) with Organic Chemistry as Specialization and M.Sc(Physics) with Electronics specialization(applied for) Sarojini Naidu Vanita Mahavidyalaya is the first college to install the Internet to facilitate the research students to access information from the world over.

Sarojini Naidu Vanita Mahavidyalaya has a team of highly qualified and truly dedicated teaching staff, numbering about 150 whose endeavor is to give their best to the students.

The college has a formidable collection of about 50,000 books and audio visual aids that are housed in two separate libraries to cater to the requirements of the students at the Under Graduate; Post Gradate and Research levels.
