Sardar Patel University (SPU), Anand was established in 1955 by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of the Bombay Province.
It was recognized under 2f of the UGC Act.
The college is reaccredited with B grade by NAAC.
The university was established with the mission of mission of regeneration of rural Indian life with the application of the study and research in all the disciplines of knowledge in tune with the modern global developments.
