Saraswati Devi Nari Gyanasthali P.G. College, Gonda was established in 1991. As a private college by founder principal Dr. (Mrs.) Krishna Sinha with only 3 students.

The college shifted in the building of Hon. Late Smt. Bimla Srivastava (co- founder) in 1994. In 1996 the college got affiliation to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Awadh University, Faizabad (U.P.).

Late Hon. Roop Malhotra (Krishna Talkies) and Hon. Late Shri Nand Gopal Tandon donated 2.8 Acres land and Dr. Deepen Sinha constructed a very impressive administrative office in the heart of Gonda, opposite Gonda Kotwali in 1997.

The college shifted to this land after the construction of one room and an administrative office in 2000.

The college has within a decade, a beautiful two storeyed building, a huge library, sound proof music room, two labs, canteen, campus shopping centers, computer center and an attractive stage for cultural function.

The stage was constructed by The then acting District Magistrate Hon. Mr. Markandey Singh.

The College has now indented its name as one of the best colleges not only in the university but in the state of Uttar Pradesh with a triumphant strength of over two thousand five hundred happy zealous girl students.

The college aims at providing higher education to every female stude. It's rising above economic, caste and creed factor and is rewarded by the admission of a stream of students from rural areas.

Saraswati Devi Nari Gyanasthali P.G. College established its campus n Gonda (Uttar Pradesh) in 2008. The College is committed to its vision to providing value based education with a focus on exellence in academics and has eminent academicians and acclaimed professionals as faculty and guest faculty, committed students, alumi network that has helped in building Saraswati Devi Nari Gyanasthali P.G. College as a premier institution. The college takes pride in providing knowledge and competencies in the areas of B.A, M.A, B.Ed.

Saraswati Devi Nari Gyanasthali P.G. College is a post graduate college for girls and women. The college campus has two labs, canteen, shpiing centers, computer center and huge auditorium to organize cultural and other events. Apart from the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the college also provides vocational training coures in computers, spoken English, typing, stiching, fashion designing, beauty hobby courses, creative art etc. N.C.C., N.S.S., Scont and Guides, N.T.T. training programmes are also conducted in the college.
