Sant Baba Bhag Singh Institute of Education, Jalandhar came on the map of teacher education in Punjab, from the academic session 2005-06. It is a co-educational institute, recognized by NCTE and affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, having a sanctioned strength of 100 seats. SBBSIE has entered the seventh year of its existence as the sixth batch of B.Ed has passed out in June 2011. Sant Baba Bhag Singh Institute of Education will be committed to produce dedicated and professionally competent teachers. In the near future the institute is hopeful to start E.T.T & M.Ed courses, which will meet the need of teacher educators in this region.
