S.M.R Teacher Training Institute, Mathur was established in 2006. Its Affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.

The Institute has obtained NO Objection Certificate from the State Government of Tamil Nadu and from the inspection of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi.

The aim of the Trust is to produce sincere, hard-working, dedicated and competent primary and elementary school teachers who can try new innovative thinking and practices in their class rooms.
