S.K. Teacher Training Institute, Muthupudayanpatti was established in 2006. Its Affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.

S.K. Teacher Training Institute is managed under S.K. Educational Trust formed by some dynamic personalities with the noble mission of providing employment opportunities to the youth of this Constituency and to prepare professionally competent and committed teachers in this backward area.

S.K. Teacher Training Institute is a unique non-minority, self-financing Teacher Training Institute in Tamil Nadu.

The Institute is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi.

The aim of the Trust is to produce sincere, hard-working, dedicated and competent primary and elementary school teachers who can try new innovative thinking and practices in their class rooms.

The Institute will aim at producing learner-friendly teachers who can harness the available resources in the community.
