Shri Atmanand Jain (P.G.) College, Ambala City was popularly known as S.A. Jain College, Ambala City was established on 20th June 1938.

It is one of the oldest premier institutions established by Jainacharya Shrimad Vijay Vallabh Surishwar Ji Maharaj to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 1st November 1974 under Act, 1956.

It is also recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur and it is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (in 2nd Cycle) on 1st May 2015.

Initiated as an intermediate college with the avowed mission of higher education leavened with moral values as envisaged in Jain Scriptures, the college in its proud journey of 75 years has always strived to reach higher echelon of success, service, and quality.

The intermediate college of the 1930s has blossomed into a leading Post Graduate institution today, where we have facilities and faculty to impart value based education to the students in various streams of Arts, Commerce and Science.

At present, with the strength of 2200 students, the college imparts instructions in the subject of M.A. Economics, M.Com. and M.Sc (Software) at the post- graduate level.

At undergraduate level too, apart from the staple and mainstream courses like Commerce, Arts, Science and Computer Software, the college is upgrading erudition by adding on the latest emerging job-oriented courses like mass communication, web designing, e-commerce, computer assembly and maintenance, computer and office management, B.P.Ed. etc.

Spread over an area of 18 acres, the college is having sprawling campus consisting of 6 lecture theaters, 31 classrooms, spacious playground, modern gymnastic hall, well-stocked library, a throbbing career guidance cell personally monitored by the principal, seminar room and big hall.

Absolutely immune from the outside political interference, a casual visit to the lush green college campus, strict discipline and quiet ambiance in the academic zone put a visitor in awe.
