The Rural Dental College was established in 1989.

The college is located in Ahmednagar, was initially affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and University of Pune till it became a constituent unit of Pravara Institute of Medical Science of Deemed University.

The institution has also gained the approval from Dental council of India (DCI), Ministry of Health, Government of India and Government of Maharashtra.

The college campus spread over an 120 acres of land, total built up area of the college: 1,40,536 sq.mtrs.
