About Shri Raghvendra Singh Hazari Government Degree College, Hatta
Shri Raghvendra Singh Hazari Government Degree College, Hatta (Dist. Damoh) was popularly known as Shri R.S. Hazari Govt. Degree College, Hatta or Govt. College, Hatta was established on 4th July 1982 and managed by Janbhagidari Samiti (JBS).
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 23rd May 1985 & 12(B) on 7th September 2002 under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "C+" Grade (in 1st Cycle) on 31st March 2007.
The aim of the college is the acquisition, preservation, and transmission of knowledge in a way which promotes national and rational outlook with a scientific temper among the young boys and girls students of the region.
It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular/ evening course in which is located in the rural part of Damoh played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations and offers two years of postgraduate courses in Arts with various specializations under Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
Admissions here also done through Govt. of M.P. online portal by the Department of Higher Education M.P. and hence gives a transparent and fair method of admission.

- A sufficient number of classrooms with varying sizes are made available for the smooth conduct of different classes in the college
- The college has a library with a good number of books (both text and reference) on various subjects to meet the needs of the students as well as the teachers with reading room facility. Daily Newspapers and selected journals are also regularly subscribed
- State of the Art Laboratories with sufficient space and all the necessary equipment are made available to various departments
- The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 26th December 2011 to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- Internet facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
- The Transportation facility is available for students
- The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
