Rourkela Institute of Management Studies (RIMS), established in the year 1984, is counted among the top B schools of India. Situated in the culturally-diverse city of Rourkela, RIMS, as an educational institution, has not only empowered people living in this city but across the state of Odisha through quality education and several social welfare initiatives since its inception.

It is affiliated to Sambalpur University, Odisha and Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, and follows the curriculum prescribed by the respective universities for each of its courses. The institution is registered under UGC ACT and has NBA AICTE, NAAC Accreditation and ISO 9001-2000 certification from RWTUV Germany.
