Rizwan Memorial Womens College of Education, Srinagar was established in 1960.

Its run by Educational Society. The college is registered with the Jammu & Kashmir Government since 1969.

Teachers Training Wing, B.Ed. was set up in 1994 and the first session came out was of 1995–96. The college is affiliated to Kashmir University.

Medium of instruction is English / Hindustani. Students can answer University papers in Hindi or in English language.

Examinations are conducted by the University of Kashmir. Certificates to successful candidates are issued by University of Kashmir.

The college has well equipped, airy and spacious class rooms with all modern facilities.

The institute has well maintained library with wide range of books collection and journals.
