About Rishikul State Ayurvedic College, Haridwar
Rishikul State Ayurvedic College (RSAC), Haridwar was established in 1919 by Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Ji, a renewed personality of India. The college is affiliated to the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar and approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine(CCIM). The College was previously a part of the registered society 'Rishikul Brahamcharya Ashram Haridwar' which was established in 1906 by Pandit Malya Ji to upgrade and save the Hindu Culture basically Sanskrit, Veda, Astrology, Ayurveda etc. The Ayruved College of this society was provincilized by the state Government on 10th Oct, 1974. This is the first Government Ayurvedic College of Uttarakhand State which has a huge infrastructure in 25acres, it is 1KM away from the Railway Station on the bank of Holly Ganga. In order to insure proper Ayurvedic education and research the college has 154 bed hospital with endure and outdoor facility in which patient suffering from various ailments example Spindilities, Arthritis, Paralysis, Psoriasis and general surgery with speciality of Anorectal disorder are being cured by the expertise staff of the hospital. The department of Panchkarma has a great role in curing the chronic diseases. There aim is to impart the basic knowledge, recognition and use of medical plants college has a large herbal garden having more than 300 medical plants & trees of various habitants of different climatic condition and altitudes.
